This feat would not have been possible without the support of donors like you, who are helping Virginia Tech's team of students, designers, faculty and staff fulfill their goal to build the world's best solar house as the only U.S. team in the global competition.

The FutureHAUS Dubai team exemplifies the importance of interdisciplinary connections, bringing together students and faculty from Virginia Tech’s College of Architecture and Urban Studies, College of Engineering, College of Science, and Pamplin College of Business, as well as two Virginia Tech student-run creative agencies, FourDesign and PRISM.

With your support, we will order the solar panels to #powerthisVThaus and begin testing them for the competition. Thank you for helping us fundraise $10,000 to help purchase our solar panels, and directly support the essential functions of our home kilowatt by kilowatt. A huge thank you from our team for supporting our campaign. We are now able to order a portion of the solar panels necessary to power our haus during the competition. 

Due to the overwhelming success of this crowdfunding campaign, and the goal of purchasing the remainder of the panels, we are adding a stretch goal to $15,000. This extra boost will allow us to add even more innovation to our home.
