It's been so encouraging to receive support from the Virginia Tech community for Kids' Tech University- The Graduate School! As the word continues to spread regarding this opportunity for high school students, we are excited about this program's impact on the attendees to consider pursuing a career in a science, technology, engineering, and mathematics field.
To date, we have received $835, and have 28 days remaining to reach our fundraising goal of $6000. As a supporter of this project, you have the ability to inspire others in your life to take action, too! Thank you for supporting Kids' Tech University- The Graduate School crowdfunding project! We sincerely appreciate your gift and will use it to continue to uphold Virginia Tech's motto of Ut Prosim (That I May Serve).
Studies have shown that exposure to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields is directly correlated with an interest in pursuing a STEM major and math and science achievement! With an increase in STEM job availability yet a decline in STEM declared majors, we plan to continue our efforts to minimize the gap and show the excitement of STEM by providing a priceless experience for high school students from southwest Virginia and surrounding areas.
Please continue supporting our project by sharing the information with your family and friends! So far we have reached 11% of our goal of $6000.
All the best,
Kristy Collins, PhD
