Description
My Homecoming platform is Breast Cancer Education and Awareness. I chose this platform because breast cancer impacts so many women, families, and communities, and I want to use my Homecoming campaign to help educate others on the importance of awareness, early detection, and supporting those affected by the disease.
With 1 in 8 women developing breast cancer in their lifetime, this cause is something that reaches far beyond one person or organization. Through my involvement with Zeta Tau Alpha, whose national philanthropy is Breast Cancer Education and Awareness, I have seen how meaningful education and intentional conversations can make a difference. My goal is to use this platform to bring that same awareness to the greater Virginia Tech and Blacksburg community.
