Support Sexual Assault and Violence Survivors | Homecoming 2026

My platform, More Support, More Strength with Maisey, focuses on supporting survivors of sexual assault and violence while increasing awareness of the resources available within the Virginia Tech community. Survivors deserve to feel heard, supported, and safe when seeking help. Through this platform, I hope to encourage more open conversations, reduce the stigma that can surround these experiences, and help make important resources easier to recognize and access. Creating a stronger culture of empathy, awareness, and support can make a meaningful difference for survivors and for our community as a whole. 

I am excited to partner with CARES (Campus Advocacy, Resources, and Education for Survivors), a confidential resource within the Dean of Students Office at Virginia Tech. CARES provides support to students, faculty, and staff who have been impacted by sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, stalking or harassment, and other forms of violence. Through confidential advocacy, education, resources, and programming, CARES helps members of the Virginia Tech community find support and understand their options. Their work connects directly to my platform because having access to compassionate support and knowing where to find it can help make our Hokie community stronger.

Gifts of any amount will go toward supporting the CARES Program and the important work they do for members of the Virginia Tech community. Every donation helps support a resource dedicated to making sure Hokies do not have to face difficult experiences alone.
