Description

Respiratory Relief with Ryan

My platform is Lung Cancer Awareness, Education, & Prevention. I have chosen

this platform because my grandfather passed away my sophomore year to lung

cancer. In his honor, I will be running on this platform to raise money to help

those fighting lung cancer as well. Through my platform, and the support of my

sponsoring organization, I will work to help students and the surrounding area of

Virginia Tech be aware of the effects of lung cancer on patients, families, and

friends. I will also work to educate students and the surrounding area on how it

forms, why it is important to get checked, how to get checked, and the resources

that can help support individuals suffering from any form of exposure. Lastly, I

will also work to help prevent individuals from being diagnosed with lung cancer.

I will do this by helping individuals understand what causes it, therefore, what to

avoid. Additionally, I will be working to raise money to help find a cure

throughout my campaign.
