University Libraries Cheesy Nights – Keeping students fueled through finals!
Since 2011, University Libraries has hosted a beloved Virginia Tech finals week tradition – Cheesy Nights! What started 14 years ago with just 267 sandwiches has grown into more than 9,000 gooey, golden grilled cheeses served each semester. It’s become a campus favorite and a comforting source of stress relief during exams.
There’s nothing better than smiles when students see Hokie volunteers serving up their favorite sandwiches – a simple but powerful reminder.
Be a part of this Virginia Tech tradition by helping us buy food supplies – including cheese, margarine, bread, fruit, snacks, and drinks – for this event. All ingredients are purchased with gifts from caring Hokies like you. We can't do it without you.

Students love bananas! We go through close to 1,000 pounds of bananas during Cheesy Nights. A gift of $50 can purchase about 80 pounds of bananas for Hokies.

Be a BIG CHEESE with a gift of $150. We purchase more than 380 pounds of American cheese to create the signature Cheesy Nights sandwiches for hungry Hokies. With your gift of $150, we can buy 1,500 slices of comfort and stress relief.
