Making Money with Maya is a platform aiming to raise awareness of the importance of financial literacy and the free educational resources on campus. Our finances are part of our daily lives, worries, and relationships, but we often lack basic skills and knowledge to maintain financial health.
I am excited to partner with the Financial Wellness team in the Hokie Wellness department to educate students about the free resources, workshops, and 1 on 1 advisory available. Throughout the year the Financial Wellness team has workshops on budgeting, credit, debt and more which they have for students to sign up for or request for their organizations. Additionally, they offer free one-on-one appointments to discuss any personal budgeting questions and work collaboratively to solve your financial problems.
Donations of any size are greatly appreciated and will go towards the Financial Wellness program at Hokie Wellness as they work to increase financial literacy with students.
