My platform “Supporting Soldiers with Siena” is all about creating a positive environment and clear resources for my peers, soldiers, and veterans. I am a psychology student in Army ROTC and after active duty I hope to go back to school and get my PhD so that I can be a therapist for veterans with PTSD. At Virginia Tech I have been given the opportunity to be in the Corps as well as in a sorority and see how campus involvement comes to life, and how Hokies support each other. With my platform I would raise money and awareness for Stop Soldier Suicide, Heroic Hearts Project, and The Hope project as well as my affiliated VT department, Veterans at VT!
Veterans at VT is a student run organization for students in the Virginia Tech community that have served or are currently serving in the military. This community provides support and community for military members and dependents without being affiliated with the Corps of Cadets. With Veterans at VT, our community ensures that every military member and affiliate has a place at Virginia Tech.
Gifts of any amount will go towards supporting Veterans at VT’s work in creating a positive community for Veterans and will make a difference in the experience of the students involved.
