My platform is drunk driving prevention and awareness with my slogan Steering Safe with Stanley. My goal is to help reinforce and educate the student body that there is always a better option than getting behind the wheel while intoxicated. I chose this as my platform because there are so many people who lose loved ones over a decision made in an instant.
My partnering organization is Hokie Wellness. Hokie Wellness is a Virginia Tech department that strives to educate and empower Hokies to take an active and engaged approach to their wellness to live their best lives possible. Hokie Wellness has a program called Party Positive, which is how Hokie Wellness aligns with my platform. Party Positive helps educate students on safe alcohol consumption and precautions they should take throughout the night.
Gifts of any amount will go towards supporting Hokie Wellness' work with Party Positive, and will make a difference in the experience of the students involved.
