Our Crowdfunding Groups
For close to 12 years, University Libraries, university and community volunteers, alumni, and Hokie parents have cranked up the grills to provide free grilled cheese sandwiches to studying students during finals week. Each semester, volunteers serve close to 6,000 sandwiches, hundreds of pounds of fruit, thousands of snacks, and encouraging words and hugs to stressed-out Hokies while they prepare for finals and finish up projects.
Students' eyes light up when they line up on the Newman Library Plaza and see the dozens of volunteers each night from across campus and beyond serve up a warm and gooey grilled cheese just for them. You can be a part of this Virginia Tech tradition by giving today. All food supplies including cheese, margarine, bread, fruit, snacks, and drinks are purchased with gifts from caring Hokies like you.
Cheesy Nights is an important service to students when meal plan dollars are running low and their next meal isn't top of mind while cramming for exams. Help keep students fueled for success by giving today!

Students love bananas! We go through at least 240 pounds of bananas during Cheesy Nights. A gift of $27 can purchase about 40 pounds of bananas for Hokies.
We go through more than 400 loaves of bread during Cheesy Nights. Help us be bready with a gift of $35. We offer both regular and gluten-free bread!
An apple a day keeps the stress at bay! We serve more than 320 pounds of apples during Cheesy Nights. A gift of $70 can purchase close to 80 pounds of apples for hungry Hokies.
