Drumroll please! For the GRAND FINALE - Frank Beamer, Santa, his elf, and the pony Sir Rockin' Ringo! Can't get more amozzing than this!
During the four Cheesy Nights, we served more than 5,800 sandwiches to hungry Hokies! Because of you, students enjoyed some warm belly-filling cheesy goodness, fruit, snacks, warm drinks and extra Hokie love from volunteers during finals week. Thank you for making a difference for students during finals!
We will be doing it again in May 2023! Can't wait!
Thank you!
Friday night was night two of Cheesy Nights and it was super fun! President Tim Sands and Dr. Laura Sands were our special guests serving grilled cheese to hungry students.
The damp weather didn't dampen the enthusiasm students felt for getting their ooey gooey warm grilled cheese goodness before they continue their study grind in Newman Library.
We're getting ready to crank up the grills tonight for the third night of Cheesy Nights. Thank you for helping to make these nights possible for our students. You are making a difference for hard working Hokies. Thank you!
Opening night of Cheesy Nights has been grate! Our back of the cheese wrapper calculation shows that we served more than 1,400 sandwiches to hungry Hokies last night. That's a bunch of crispy, buttery, gooeyness right there!
Volunteers will be cranking up the grills again tonight to give students the encouragement they need to study strong.
A huge thank you to all of you who have given to Cheesy Nights. Because of you and other generous supporters, students know fellow Hokies and Hokie parents near and far are cheering them on and saying "Go Hokies! You've got this!"
We are blown away by the overwhelming support for Cheesy Nights! Because of you, we reached our original fundraising goal of $2,500! Let's keep it going! It takes more than $5,000 to put on Cheesy Nights every semester. Your generosity, along with the generosity of others who give to the University Libraries Excellence Fund throughout the year, make Cheesy Nights happen.
Thank you for supporting Hokies during finals!
A gift of $5 gives a student a study snack of grilled cheese sandwich, hot chocolate and a cookie.
We go through a lot of bread! A gift of $20 buys us bread for 60 sandwiches!
Current Seniors who make a gift of $5 or more to Cheesy Nights will have their gift count as their Senior Class Gift. Gifts of $22+ will receive a commemorative mug and graduation cord as a thank you.
