First year student Grace Blount said her chapter scholarship allowed her to focus on school, and eased her mind when it came to paying for tuition.
“It has allowed me to find my place,” she said. “I have been surrounded by people who have similar interests and loves as me. I feel included at Virginia Tech and I am the happiest I have ever been.”
Each year, chapters around the world rally together to raise money for student scholarships to help Hokies in their region. These scholarships make a difference for Hokies like Grace.
Roanoke Valley alumni helped one student last year by raising $1,500.
You can support a new Hokie from the area by making a gift to the chapter’s crowdfunding campaign. Together Roanoke Valley Hokies are trying to raise $1,000. Chapters all over are challenging local alumni to contribute.
Gifts of any size matter and it's a chance to help Hokies in your community. Donors to our scholarship fund through this page will be thanked with a special Virginia Tech Roanoke Alumni Chapter poster so you can let the community know that you care about supporting the Hokie experience!
