The InclusiveVT Excellence Scholarship Fund helps make sure that students from underrepresented communities can thrive at Virginia Tech by providing them with crucial financial support. It serves as as important tool for the university to recruit, retain, and graduate high-achieving Hokies and create a more just and inclusive world, starting right here at Virginia Tech.
Managed by the Office for Inclusion and Diversity, the fund has provided close to $100,000 in all to more than 30 students since its creation in 2017.
“Going to Virginia Tech is a huge deal for me, and I’m able to do it because of this scholarship,” said Ibrahim Yasin ’22, pictured above, a junior who received an InclusiveVT Excellence Award scholarship and is now pursuing a degree in business information and technology. “It has made it possible for me to be here.”
