Thank you for supporting For Those To Come! Your gift directly supports a scholarship for a Virginia Tech student-athlete, manager, video team member and/or trainer.
The Virginia Tech Monogram Club is proud to announce the "For Those to Come" endowed scholarship. Membership of the Monogram Club, comprised of former student-athletes, trainers, video team members and managers, voted to invest $25,000 to endow a scholarship for a current student-athlete.
"Kelly and I are proud to support this initiative," Virginia Tech Director of Athletics Whit Babcock said. "Endowments are truly the greatest way to support the future of Virginia Tech Athletics. Our alumni laid the foundation for our 22 sports at Virginia Tech and are now creating opportunities for student-athletes with the For Those to Come Endowment. Our former student-athletes put Virginia Tech on the map, and we will continue to work in their honor to build champions in the classroom and in competition."
Endowed scholarships are $100,000 paid out over a five-year term. This gift will provide a perpetual stream of financial support to a student-athlete's scholarship over an infinite time horizon.
"As the President of the Monogram Club, I'm extremely excited for this endowment because it helps fulfill the Club's mission of laying the foundation for the future of Virginia Tech Athletics," Brian Walter explained. "This is coming to fruition after many months of planning and coordinating by our Board of Directors. The Board and our membership are to be commended for fully supporting this initiative."
The Club will have five years to generate the remaining $75,000 and we are only $30,000 away from reaching our first endowed scholarship! Leave your legacy by making a gift to For Those to Come.
