My name is Leah Hendershot and I am honored to be a part of the 2019 Homecoming Court with my sponsoring organization, Delta Delta Delta. I want to take this incredible opportunity to raise awareness towards my platform Give Safety a Thought, Vote Hendershot. My platform is focused on the education and promotion of the Safe Ride program that we currently have here at Virginia Tech. Ensuring that everyone in an unsafe and uncomfortable situation has a safe option home, having No Hokie Left Behind. Through our efforts to aid the Virginia Tech campus communities Give Safety a Thought, Vote Hendershot helps each member live out the Virginia Tech mission statement daily by serving others.
