Being home to the World’s largest collegiate Relay For Life is not an easy task. As the years have passed our event has only gotten bigger and with that comes larger operating expenses.
We have joined this crowdfunding campaign to attain funds to help cover the costs of these productions. Through various sponsorships and university funding opportunities we are able to create the event VT Relay is known as. We are asking for donations to help cover this operational side of our event because we see it as a crucial investment. We fundraise all year long to help fund a cure to cancer and the night of our event our Hokie community prides itself on what Relay For Life has become and we are seeking support in continuing the tradition of a larger than life Relay event!
Virginia Tech is home to the world’s largest collegiate Relay For Life in the world. Our mission is to live out our university motto of “Ut Prosim” meaning that I may serve, by raising money to help fund a cure to cancer. We involve over 7,000 students and community members each year throughout the year leading up to our big 12-hour event on the Drillfield which will be April 21 this year. Our event takes a lot of hard work but our student volunteers give so much of their time to make sure we are building a better world and serving our community the best we can.
