Our crowdfunding project wrapped up last week, and we have to say -- we are amazed. You all pitched in to support our work to make soccer safer, and we are THRILLED to say that we reached our funding goal! (With a few hours to go, too!)
Thanks to your support, we'll be able to purchase the headbands we need to test in the Helmet Lab. We're excited to get started, and we'll check back in when the results are in a few months from now.
Thank you so much for your support. We love the research we do and are really honored that it resonated with you, as well! We're grateful that our work gives us the opportunity to make a difference for the millions of kids who play soccer and other sports. And today, we are especially grateful that you all were willing to join us.

Hi everyone!
Well, we're almost there; with just a few days left in our campaign, we're in awe of the progress we've made! We've raised more than $5000 from people like you, who want to make sure that sports are as safe as possible for young players, and we're so grateful.
As we get closer to the finish line, we want to spread the word as much as we can about our project. If you know anyone who might be interested in hearing about this research -- maybe a parent whose child plays soccer -- we'd love it if you could share our link: https://crowdfund.vt.edu/project/6066. Whether people give or not, we want as many people as possible to know about our research, because that's the best way to make sure that players are protected on the field -- and that's what we're passionate about.
We appreciate your support!

Thanks to all of you, we're 50 percent of the way to our $10,000 goal! There's a lot left to do, but we're celebrating how far we've come — and so grateful for your support. It has motivated us to work even harder for the eight days left in the project; we know we'll make it! Thank you!
We are so excited about the huge progress we've made in the last week--and it's thanks to you, our amazing supporters! We've raised more than $4000 for our research, which means we're that much closer to being able to tell parents what gear will help protect their kids' heads.
Now we have one more favor to ask you--if you can, would you be willing to share our project with your friends and family? We know that there are a lot of parents, grandparents, coaches, and fans out there who want to make sure that youth athletes are safe on the field, and we want to get the word out that the research to make that happen is going on right here at Virginia Tech.
Thank you so much! We appreciate you!

We want to thank you for making the first week of our project a success!
We're so excited to have already raised more than $1500 that we’ll use to buy protective headbands to test in the lab. That funding brings us one step closer to being able to tell parents and coaches which gear will do the best job of protecting their players. We couldn’t have done it without you!
We’re passionate about using science and engineering to make sports safer, and we know from your support that you are, too! Let’s keep the project going, and share with anyone else you think might be interested. Together, we’ll make a difference for kids around the world.
