Our Crowdfunding Groups
Since 2002, The Big Event at Virginia Tech has completed tens of thousands of service projects and has sent even more student volunteers to homeowners all across Blacksburg, Christiansburg, and the New River Valley. The Big Event follows the famous Virginia Tech saying, "Ut Prosim" as its calling to serve our local surrounding community and is how the organization made its saying, "One big day. One big thanks. One big event."
Volunteers overlook The Big Event
The funds from this campaign will all go towards day of operations for The Big Event which includes the t-shirts given to the volunteers, the stage for our opening ceremonies, and food for our staff. The t-shirts are the most important, as they allow homeowners to distinguish the volunteers from other Blacksburg residents and/or Virginia Tech students, helping to ensure The Big Event is safe for both our volunteers and homeowners.

A $15 donation allows us to provide 3 t-shirts to volunteers at The Big Event!
A $25 donation allows us to provide 5 t-shirts to volunteers at The Big Event!
A $50 donation allows us to provide 10 t-shirts to volunteers at The Big Event!
