For the last night of Cheesy Nights, Elf and Santa Claus joined the fun to make hungry students happy.
Pepper Jack Frost also made an appearance with temperatures in the 30s! Grillers were outside grilling up goodness while servers handed out sandwiches and snacks inside where it was cozy and warm.
We will be back in May for the spring semester Cheesy Nights. Because of your generosity, we are able to provide encouragement and comfort food to help Hokies succeed during finals. Thank you for your support!
The third night of Cheesy Nights moved inside to the Goodall Room in Newman Library.
The grill volunteers braved the cold, rain, and snow to make sure the sandwiches were fresh and hot for the students while the food line was set up inside.
The set up kept students warm and dry while they grabbed a study snack and enjoyed a break with friends.
Thank you for supporting this Hokie tradition. We'll brie back tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. for the last Cheesy Night of the semester!
Last night we served close to 1,700 sandwiches! Tonight we were bready to do the same. Volunteers cranked up the grills and got down to business. Students were so happy to get the paper towel-wrapped cheesy comfort food along with fruit, salty and sweet snacks, and hot chocolate. Because of your support we can give students the encouragement they need to stay strong during finals.
Thank you for being a part of this Virginia Tech tradition. Cheesy Nights returns Sunday and it's gonna be gouda!
Students made sure they didn't swiss out on their chewy, gooey study snack during the first night of Cheesy Nights. The smell of grilled cheese filled the air as the line of hungry Hokies wrapped from Newman Library to around Squires Student Center.
Volunteers worked hard to make sure students were fueled for success!
Smiling students felt the encouragement and love sent their way from all the volunteers and supporters of Cheesy Nights! Thank you for being a part of this important student initiative.
We do it again tomorrow night! Thank you for your support!
We are blown away by the overwhelming support for Cheesy Nights!
Because of you, we reached our original fundraising goal of $7,000! Let's keep it going! It takes more than $7,000 to provide grilled cheese comfort food to all stressed-out students who need it. Your generosity, along with the generosity of others who give to the University Libraries Excellence Fund throughout the year, make Cheesy Nights happen.
Thank you for supporting Hokies during finals! Stay tuned for more updates as Cheesy Nights begin tonight!
