Support CAMP for Mental Health Awareness Month
In accordance with National Mental Health Awareness month, the Hokie Club and Virginia Tech Athletics are excited to announce a month-long fundraising effort for the Counseling and Athletics Mental Performance (CAMP) staff.
Gifts to this effort will assist in supplementing the budget for the CAMP staff to better serve student-athletes at Virginia Tech. These services include:
- Individual meetings between counselors and student-athletes.
- Team consultations to facilitate team cohesion and ways to improve performance.
- Additional various resources for student-athletes to improve their mental health during their time in Blacksburg.
“Our staff has done an incredible job of creating an environment where our student-athletes can feel comfortable addressing their mental health,” said Danny White, Senior Associate Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Services & University Affairs. “Any contribution to our CAMP staff can go a long way to better serving the student-athlete experience at Virginia Tech.”
