Our Crowdfunding Groups
Each year, the Virginia Tech Chapter of Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Related Sciences (MANRRS) supports professional development activities for students and sends outstanding students to regional and national meetings. We need your help to support the achievement of our students’ goals at the local, regional, and national levels.
The Virginia Tech Chapter of MANRRS is part of a national organization dedicated to the advancement and achievement of people in agriculture and natural resources and related fields. While MANRRS has many members in agricultural and natural resources, it is open to students and professionals of all backgrounds and majors.
By supporting our chapter’s fundraiser, you support local chapter meetings, student engagement in professional development activities, student chapter dues, and help a student attend national and regional MANRRS meetings.

$5 gift supports local MANRRS (Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Related Sciences)
Current seniors who make a gift of $5 or more to our project will have their gift count as their Senior Class Gift. Gifts of $22+ will receive a commemorative mug and graduation cord as a thank you from the committee. A $25 gift can pay for the chapter dues for a student for a year, enabling them to attend meetings and professional development activities on campus.
A $50 gift can help pay for a MANRRS student’s polo with Virginia Tech’s logo. Students wear these polos to represent Virginia Tech at the national MANRRS conference.
A $100 gift helps to build a sense of community in the local MANRRS chapter by providing resources and supplies necessary to conduct regular MANRRS meetings.
A $250 gift can help cover the registration for the national MANRRS conference for one student. This conference helps the student to build their professional skill set.
A $500 gift provides partial coverage of the travel and expenses to a networking event, such as the national MANRRS conference. This gives the student the means to connect with others in their field who can help support their research.
