Ut Prosim in action: Merging science with service.

Early access to diagnosis, intervention, and treatment of autism can help families achieve better outcomes for their child, but many remain on assessment waitlists for up to a year before getting a diagnosis.

The VT Autism Clinic and Center for Autism Research merges science with service to help address this critical need in Southwest Virginia.

As a research and training clinic for graduate student clinicians, VTAC/CAR immerses graduate students in clinical practice as they serve families through our Blacksburg clinic, Mobile Autism Clinic that travels the region, and through telehealth appointments. This program builds needed capacity in the field of clinical science, provides a unique experience for our students, and empowers families with knowledge they can use to advocate for their child throughout their lifetime.

Your donation of any amount can help more families access these much-needed services, and right now, your generosity can have an even bigger impact. Jerry Hulick ’73 will generously donate $10,000 to the Virginia Tech Autism Clinic and Center for Autism Research if 100 donors make a gift in the month of November. Please help us reach this exciting goal and provide outstanding care throughout Southwest Virginia with your gift today!
