Baseball Club

Virginia Tech Club Baseball has been in existence for more than 20 years, and is comprised of 30+ student-athletes who love playing baseball on the intercollegiate level. A member of the National Club Baseball Association (NCBA), the club competes throughout the year against league opponents from throughout the mid-atlantic states, and regularly qualifies for regional playoffs.

Gifts made to Virginia Tech Club Baseball help to support team equipment, umpire fees and travel expenses for road games, which can run $1,200.00 or more for a weekend away series.

In addition to making a financial donation directly to the defending NCBA National Champions, another significant way to support VT Club Baseball is to donate to the Sport Club Fields Turf Conversion Project.  The goal of this vital Recreational Sports initiative is to convert two sport club Bermuda grass fields to a multi-purpose, multi-sport artificial turf facility that can accommodate the Baseball, Field Hockey, Lacrosse, Rugby, Soccer, Cricket and Softball sport clubs. Currently, Club Baseball must travel off campus to use area baseball fields (which are in very short supply).  The fields that do exist are oftentimes in marginal playing condition, creating safety concerns for the club and for their competition.  A multi-purpose turf facility will provide a safe and convenient on-campus facility for the club to practice and compete on, even in wet weather.
