Equestrian Club

The Virginia Tech Equestrian Club has a long and distinguished history. The club was founded more than 30 years ago, and its members compete at intercollegiate horse shows both on campus and throughout the mid-Atlantic region. Club members compete in one of three disciplines (Hunter, Dressage or Western), and all of them share a passion for all things equine. VT Equestrian is a member of the IHSA (Intercollegiate Horse Show Association), the IDA (Intercollegiate Dressage Association) and the USHJA (United States Hunter Jumper Association).

Gifts made to Virginia Tech Equestrian will help pay for horse show entry fees, judges fees and travel expenses, which can cost almost $1,000.00/competition. Gifts will also help pay for horse’s veterinarian costs, horse feed and riding equipment including saddles, stirrups, bridles, reins and harnesses.
