My name is Sal Parente and I am honored to be a part of the 2019 Homecoming Court with my sponsoring organization, Delta Chi. I want to take this incredible opportunity to raise awareness towards my platform “Steady Strides with Sal.” The goal of my platform is to help educate the community about what Parkinson’s Disease is and how it affects the individual suffering from the disease. Throughout the process I hope to raise money to donate to the Michael J Fox Foundation to help fund research towards finding a cure to this terrible disease. Through our efforts to aid the Virginia Tech campus communities, Steady Strides with Sal helps each member live out the Virginia Tech mission statement daily by serving others.
