Rally Against Racism with Alexi Henderson

My name is Alexi Henderson and I am honored to be a part of the 2019 Homecoming Court with my sponsoring organization, Chi Delta Alpha. I want to take this incredible opportunity to raise awareness towards my platform, Rally Against Racism. Rally Against Racism is an effort to start a conversation on campus about the realities of racism within our community and elsewhere. I hope to both amplify the voices of people of color and emphasize the importance of every Hokie being dedicated to anti-racism. Through our efforts to aid the Virginia Tech campus communities, Rally Against Racism helps each member live out the Virginia Tech mission statement daily by serving others.

Your gift will be used to help cover the costs of Rally Against Racism’s most immediate needs. Examples

of how these funds may be used:

• Help pay for costs associated with hosting a rally on Henderson lawn including:
  • Purchasing a permit from Blacksburg PD
  • Reserving/buying technical equipment such as speakers, microphones, etc.
  • Creating flyers to spread the word about the rally

* Use of all donations are subject to approval by the Office of Student Engagement and Campus Life
