The Virginia Tech Chamber Singers are hoping to travel to Spain in May 2019 to perform concerts and learn about the culture and history of this diverse region of Europe.
With invitations from the Lord Mayor of Madrid and Music Celebrations International, they will sing as part of the 2019 American Celebration of Music in Spain with concerts in Madrid, Toledo, Seville, and Granada. We need your help to get there! Your contributions will help to support the students' travel expenses including airfare, coach bus, and lodging. We want every student in the choir to be able to experience this amazing opportunity! Your help is critical to making that happen.
In addition to performing in historic venues, the students will experience the rich culture and arts in the region, including visits to the Prado Museum, El Escorial Monastery, The Mosque in Cordoba, and multiple historic plazas, palaces, and cathedrals.
Donating this amount will bring out Dr. Bigler's inner Obi-Wan for a "Force-full" Halloween choir rehearsal. We'll share the video!
With this contribution, we will light a candle for you in one of the beautiful churches in Spain. We hope our voices will bring light to your life!
Donate at this level to received a signed photograph of the VT Chamber Singers in Spain after our return!
For this donation, the VT Chamber Singers will make a video of the classic song, "Manamana." Yes, the song from the Muppets!
We'll give you a special shout-out at our Nov. 11 concert if you contribute this amount (only if you want!). Dividing the total cost of the tour over 10 days, this amount covers 2.5 days of total expenses for one student.
1973 being the birth year of Dr. Bigler, if you give this amount, the VT Chamber Singers has the special opportunity of pie-ing him, on video. Yes, a pie in the face!
This is the total price for one student's trip to Spain, covering airfare, lodging, transportation, and most of their meals. It would mean the world to them!
