Let's Go! $10,000 Left to Complete our Vehicle Fund!
Albemarle Cooperative Extension is growing, especially our 4‑H Youth Program, and one six‑passenger vehicle can only take us so far. Thanks to Virginia Tech Giving Day and generous supporters, we’ve raised $30,000 of our $40,000 goal! This strong momentum reflects a shared belief in the power of research-based education and community connection. We are seeking the final $10,000 by May 1, 2026, to purchase a second state vehicle and meet this growing demand.
Albemarle 4-H Teen Leaders, 4-H Camp 2025, Appomattox, VAThis vehicle is a practical and essential investment that allows our Extension agents and staff to better serve Albemarle County and Charlottesville City. With reliable transportation, our team can reach more communities, expand opportunities for youth, and strengthen programs that rely on in-person learning and engagement. This includes our 4-H Youth Development programs, Extension Master Gardener and Extension Master Naturalist programs, and other core Extension efforts.
Every gift helps move this effort forward. Contributions support not only the purchase of the vehicle, but also our broader mission to provide trusted, research-based education in agriculture and natural resources, family and consumer sciences, well water testing, volunteer development, and youth leadership. Together, these programs help build a healthier and more resilient community.
