It’s an important time for Virginia’s youth.

Through our robust programming and partnerships, Virginia 4-H is resolute in its commitment to helping our youth navigate the challenges they face every day and become the leaders they were meant to be.

Virginia 4-H has continued to expand its programmatic offerings and opportunities to help youth find their passion and create positive change in their lives and their community.

By forging a partnership with The Claude Moore Charitable Foundation, Virginia 4-H is helping Virginia’s youth find meaningful and lasting careers in health care.

And one youth, Eleni Kasianides, used her passion for mental health to improve the mental well-being of the elderly. During a conversation with her grandmother in 2020, Eleni heard how sad she was from being isolated during a pandemic. She wanted to do something about it – but not just for her grandmother. Eleni wanted to help others in her area and rallied her 4-H club to help. Since the program started, Eleni and her fellow 4-Hers have sent more than 500 cards across nine states, and hope to include more 4-H clubs in the near future.

  • Andrea Farag helped the 4-H Teen Summit evolve into an initiative that is now driven by a team of select youth.
  • 4-H helped Brayden Jones develop confidence and public speaking skills despite the many challenges he faced in childhood. Jones was diagnosed with      Mild Ataxic Cerebral Palsy, Sensorineural Hearing Loss, and a vision condition called Duane’s Syndrome.
  • Sophia Crowder incorporated the concepts, skills, and values learned from her 4-H background to use as a foundation to build and sustain her community initatives of ITgirls and STEMSQUAD.
  • Harper Miller, a sophomore at Central High School in Wise County, helped create a bill that puts 4-H on equal footing with sports and other school programs.

Our youth wouldn’t be able to do this without you. Generous support is critical in the creation of these skill-building opportunities that help youth to find their passion. Virginia 4-H is proud to be the catalyst for these experiences.

We believe in the power of our youth.
